Greetings and welcome to the Swansea Police
Department Web Site. My name is George Arruda and I am the Chief of Police. The
Swansea Police Department is comprised of 31 highly trained sworn officers and 6
civilian support staff. I am proud to be part of a professional law enforcement
organization that consists of dedicated, committed, and honest Police Officers.
We are privileged and humbled to protect and serve the citizens of the Town of
Swansea.
In these pages, you will learn of the many services and programs that the
Swansea Police Department provide. All of our resources are aimed at just one
goal: Making the Town of Swansea a better and safer place for all of the people
who live, work, or visit. The Swansea Police Officers are problem solvers, a
force that works with citizens, businesses, the media and other public agencies
to improve the quality of life in Swansea.
